Hi all;

I am fast completing my new 28mm Foundry/Black Tree
Design/Renegade/Newline Design, Ceasarian Roman army, and have
started to think about my next project. Aside from the fact that I
have about 50lbs. of unpainted Gripping Beast Viking/Saxon/Irish
figures waiting patiently for their new outfits, I have somewhat of
a yearning to do an 'exotic' off the beaten path, kind of army.
I've been intrigued with the Japanese, ever since I watched Richard
Chamberlain sushi his way across the small screen a few decades
ago. Additionally, I was very impressed with West Wind Samurai Wars
figures here:

I would appreciate any help with this decision, since I know little
of the period, but will start correcting that shortly. Will the
above mentioned figures work for a Japanese army for the period we
are interested in (late medieval-pre gunpowder)? I like the Perry
figures, but until they put some mechanics on their website to make
internet purchases easier, I will probably opt for an easier place
to order...besides, I think the Perry figures are for a later period.

Any other guidance on figures would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Although 2 dragons have many good poses, many look like dwarves! lol
