Jon,

A Hand to Hand Question.

A Unit of 1/2 HTW Sh, 1/2 JLS Shield is fighting a

Steady Unit with LTS/P.

When figuring out the comabt, only those elements with

the HTW ignore the -2 for facing steady LTS/P, right?

Thanks,

Todd

Right. The JLSers do take that -2.

I think that the second rank with JLS are throwing javelins overhead, so no -2

aply (thy are not in contact).

Emilio,

I would like Jon to clarify this part as well, but I believe the combat

mechanism would be as follows:

I have a 6E Unit of Irr C MI ½ HTW, B, Sh; ½ JLS, B, Sh impetuously charging

a 6E unit of Reg C MI LTS, Sh.

Both Units are 3E wide by 2E Deep.

My HTH Combat would be as follows:

The front rank 12 figs using HTW vs. MI is 5. Close Charging Impetuously

is +1, to 6, foot charging is +1, to 7. The Front Rank would be 12@7

The Back rank would be 6 figs of other foot against MI, 3. Charging and

Close impetuous are both +1, to 5. JLS against MI is +1 to 6. Facing

steady LTS is -2 to 4.

The combat would be 12@7 and 6@4.

The bonus for using JLS does lessen the effect of the steady LTS.

Todd

Hi Todd

I understand your mecanism, but my personal view is that:

1st: the HTW volley negates the -2 for facing LTS

2nd: the second rank with javelins is NOT in contact with the LTS, and is

throwing javelins overhead the first rank, so negates the -2 too.

But this is my opinion on how the combat works, not criticism on the rules.

Moreover, I don´t own WARRIOR, but WRG 7th, and I don´t know all the diferences

betwen the two rulesets.

Greetings.

Emilio.
