Gents;
I would like some informed advice on the Middle Imperial Roman list.
As you know you can choose to go early and do a Severan army, which is
similar to the Early Imperials (HI, HTW, Sh...etc.), for 24 points per
element, and this gives you the Roman swordsman abilities, fulcum,
etc.; or you can do a Post-Severan army with the legionaries becoming
MI, HTW, JLS, Sh, plus a Dart option, but they lose the swordsman,
fulcum, 1HCW abilities for 20 points per element.
I'm leaning toward the latter option (post-Severan), with a Palmyran
ally, but I wanted to survey this august body first.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave, my $0.02 says Severan. They get the cool options + testudo. I can do
more with that than a dart.
I agree with you on the palmyrans. take the archers as Reg loose order...

Interesting. Thanks. The A&A figures with full panalopy sure look
better to me. Thanks for the feedback Jon.

Hey Jon,
Why the the Early Imperials get a shield for thier Bowmen while the
Severan period guys don't until Diocletian? Just curious because Dave and I were
looking at that a while back and it seemed curious.

I have been eyeing those same A&A figures. Some look flat and two
dimensional compared to foundry or Perry, but they are the only ones
that I know of that offer figs for this unique period in Roman
history. They do look quite nice for the most part.I very much love
the LBM transfers for the Middle Imperials made to go with these figs.
