Hey, I know better than anyone that I have a type AAA alpha male personality.
Please don't let that major character flaw of mine detract from your enjoyment
of the game. I am passionate in general and very much so about Warrior. I ask
for your patience.
Especially Paul's...

Keep those cards and letters comin'!
Jon

>I'm sure there's an extra chromosone or something bouncing around in
there:)Smile:)

>Folks, obviously many of us here are passionate about this game and
some of us (looking square in the mirror) have a tendency to "over
respond" to items posted here and oftentimes don't see the forest
because of the trees in some of the material relating to the rules or
lists. For that, I apologize profusely.

>Lists will be vibrant. If I have absolutely left out something, it
will get put in via the miracle of the internet. Please please please
remember that list writing is an inherently inteprative process and as
Paul mentioned, the sources are not always a) there, b) reliable, c)
consistent regardless of their reliability, and d) readily transferable
into the Warrior context (or any other rules context for that matter).
We have (see latest updates to DAW on web page) and will continue to
refine and tweak lists. That process is already underway with all of
our list products out and I'll keep everybody informed as to when
anything changes.

>I also might add that anybody with a real expertise on a specific area
can always contact me about reviewing a list or three. I mean I have
people who are perusing them from the "game" perspective but one can't
have too many historical types with some interest in a particular army
or era and who's heavily read to take a gander at what comes outta my
laptop.

>And feel free to submit alternate lists. We have a place for them on
the web site. Obviously local tournaments have final say as to whether
or not any set of lists are allowed but I feel at the very least,
someone else's "vision" of what the Maurikian Byzantines, for example,
*should* look like provides a point of departure for discussion. As you
can tell, my real zest for this game isn't so much the rules but the
history:)Smile:)

>Holy Warrior is almost done in draft stage and many of the reviewers
have finished with their early looks at the product. I have only the
Wallachian/Moldavian (Dracula Rules!) notes to finish and then the
mighty Albanians to complete, then it'll be time to incorporate
reviewers input and begin that back and forth discussion. We will
easily meet our Fall In release date for the product. Since next year
will be East's "Crusader Theme Year", Holy Warrior should get quite a
workout in 2003.

Passion? Asking for patience? And he has been showing grandfatherly
tendencies to really like fluff and storyline instead of pure cold hearted
crushing of opponents. Its kind of disturbing! And un-alpha like too! ;(
