Would it be better in the following list to simply take the mounted
crossbowmen as a 6E LC unit?

Basically they can be used just like the B or JLS,B,Sh Irr 6E LC
units as "shooters to front". Given that they are necessary list
minimum it seems a way to get something more useful out of them than
as a 2E Irr shooter-only unit. It would mean that all the units in
the army now make some kind of sense, so I would not feel any points
are wasted on anything.

If I _did_ do this I would have to drop the LC B-only unit.

1x CinC 2E Reg A/C SHK/HK L,Sh (PA std) @ 208
1x Sub 2E Reg A/C SHK/HK L,Sh (P std) @ 138
6x 2E Irr B/C SHK/HK L,Sh @ 109
1x 10E Irr C LI B,Sh @ 85
4x 2E Reg D LC B @ 30
2x 4E Irr B LC L,JLS,Sh @ 89
1x 6E Irr C LC JLS,B,Sh @ 109
plus trading...
1x 2E Irr C LC CB @ 41
1x 6E Irr C LC B @ 73
for...
1x 6E Irr C LC CB @ 73

Not that the CB are going to blow things away the way the B would but
the point would be they can still strip enemy fire sucking up cpf,
which is really their job, and make more efficient use of points in
the army.

And since I was at 1,606 points (problematical with a 6-pt. element)
I can now spend from 35-40 points on something else. But I am now
down to only 89 scouting points this way unless that 35-40 point
expenditure results in more.

Not sure what I will get with the points yet. Almost not enough for
another unit unless I can scrounge up a regular one. But might make
for some useable upgrades. Have to be something worth the change in
LC armament though.

As a for instance of what could be obtained by doing this,

all the Polish SHK, LI and Lithuanian/Tartar LC units plus...
1x 6E Irr C LC CB @ 73
1x 6E Irr C LC B @ 73

and now add...
1x 2E Irr C HI/MI 2HCT,Sh/JLS,Sh @ 61
...which is very close to a "Brigans" type unit albeit one that is
not so impervious to shooting. Still a cheap but bona-fide elephant
and foot killer though. And I do not think this army will be so
worried about the types of things that usually give Brigans problems.

However, I wonder if addition of a single 2E unit kind of out of sync
with the rest of the army is really worth the juggling, as opposed to
giving the LC some more front-rank JLS and Sh (and better morale)
which is my more likely choice.
