<< Under 6.2 Marches. It never says if I can, or how much I can wheel during a

Whoops! Catch of the week, Don. You have the fix exactly right, the pertinent
section of 6.11 needs to be copied into 6.2 as well. I am so doing.

<<Also under 6.33 pursuits. First line says I must pursue directly after the
target. OK. I assume you mean as best as I am able (imagine I hit
a body to flank. When they rout away. I will only be able to wheel to follow
since manuevers are not allowed in combat results moves).>>

So far, so good.

<<In para 2 you say non imp pursuers have the option of contacting any other
enemy their pursuit move will reach. Is this while I am trying to
follow the mandates of sentance one, or can I wheel away in any direction and
slam ANY enemy I can reach.? We make the pursuer stay on course after the
original target and do not let them veer away to a cool
new target. i think this is what you want. Some clarification is in order
here.>>

Non-impetuous guys CAN hit a 'cool new guy' IF AND ONLY IF the pursued
divert/interpenetrate. The para is worded badly and I must fix.

<<Also evades & routs. - it never says anywhere that the turn around to rout
away or evade is free.>>

I will clarify that it is.

<<6.36 Recall moves. LI recalling from steady close or loose foot. This
is not a mandatory rally per 5.41. Did you mean it to be? Now the LI
recalls, then just approaches right back.....>.

Second best catch of the week. Recalls of ANY kind are mandatory rally causes.
Will fix.

Don, you da man.

A couple of things.

Under 6.2 Marches. It never says if I can, or how much I can wheel
during a march segment. In fact it does not say I can or can not make a
formation change. All the cool stuff you can do during a tactical move
is listed in 6.11, but marches are left in the dark.

I think you need to add a para in 6.2 saying "the basic march move is
made by moving a body straight ahead up to and including that bodies
maximum march segment move distance.

A march move can also include the following with no reduction in move
distance:
-follow a winding road or track in column, measuring distance from outer
arc of move.
-One wheel of up to 45 degrees measuring along the outer arc.
-dropping back elements to pass a gap or enter difficult terrain in
column.

You either need to do that or pull that whole section out from under
6.11 and stick it up under 6.1 and reword as The basic tactical, march,
or combat results move is made by...

I think this was an oversite and we ALWAYS play marches by the tactical
move rules under 6.11.

Also under 6.33 pursuits. First line says I must pursue directly after
the target. OK. I assume you mean as best as I am able (imagine I hit
a body to flank. When they rout away. I will only be able to wheel to
follow since manuevers are not allowed in combat results moves).

In para 2 you say non imp pursuers have the option of contacting any
other enemy their pursuit move will reach. Is this while I am trying to
follow the mandates of sentance one, or can I wheel away in any
direction and slam ANY enemy I can reach.? We make the pursuer stay on
course after the original target and do not let them veer away to a cool
new target. i think this is what you want. Some clarification is in
order here.

Also evades & routs. - it never says anywhere that the turn around to
rout away or evade is free. We always play that way, but a newbie just
learning the rules might think that troops evade or rout by making a
manuever "turn 180" thus reducing their move to 40p after that. I know
manuevers are listed under tactical moves and routs are not tactical
moves, but evades are tactical moves. See the problem. We know how to
play this (turn around, then move the variable move distance), but the
rules need to say that the turn to rout or evade is free.

6.36 Recall moves. LI recalling from steady close or loose foot. This
is not a mandatory rally per 5.41. Did you mean it to be? Now the LI
recalls, then just approaches right back.

Also on the same subject. Making a recall move do to 2 CPF from prep
shooting (like at light troops) is also not a mandatory rally. Did you
mean it to be?

Sorry about all the comments, but I am starting to go over the rules
with a fine toothed comb now. None of my queries involve rules changes
(except the recall one) only clarification to the written rules to do
what we all do anyway.
