Hello all!!!
Have 25mm NKEgypyians,a pike army,Early Byzantines. 15mm Sass.Persians
& Late Rom. plus someother stuff I can morph. Any suggestions as to a
fairly simple army to run in learning Fast Warrior/Warrior?
Knowing myself, I would prefer lots of infantry & some elephants. Any
ideas?

Hello Francis,
My suggestion in fast Warrior is Alex Imperial or
Selukid. Seems to remember both have El in normal
(large) games, but don't recall any FW army with both
El and Pike. Stand by while I get my book out....

Nope no El/Pike in FW. However lists 58 through 64
are Alex, Dad Phillip, and the wannabee successor
lists. Asiatic, Lysimacid and Ptolemaic seem to have
the most pike. last one gets some LC too. also
consider 66 Phyric

Nikephorian and Maurikian as well as Early Byz do well
as manuver armies in Warrior.

NKE is ok, but I'm always leary of chariots. The FW
list has three 2element chariot units, then the
typical close order foot and bows and other crap
thrown in. Looks doable.

Sassinids and LIR are always showing up to play. Both
good lists.

To start I'd probably decide if you are a "charge and
roll high" or a "manuver and matchup" sort of player.
If the first, then you'll want lost of quick Javelin
armed foot and mounted with lance or Javelin. If you
are the later, then Byzantines.

Boyd,
Thanks for your ideas!! I REALLY like the historical matches that have
been talked about as well.
I would say that I have been waiting for something like Warrior for
quite sometime. It holds real promise. I just hope I am smart enough to
figure it all out!!! Francis

Hi,
I live in Richmond and travel for work to Roanoke regularly. I have
played for a long time. Have both 15's and 25's figures for traveling
games. I would be glad to get together to learn warrior better.

Invincibility is a matter of self-defense;
vulnerability is simply a matter of having gaps.
