OK Jon,
How about a donut shape with a large side equaling 240p across and a
large ring filling the rest? Effectively giving you two hills for
the price of one?
Or worse yet... Several small rings with a large 240p piece.
The possibilities get silly!
(I don't hate you. Really I don't but devious people can use these
things unless prohibited!)
It is this form of evil that is making me take my time coming up with a
simple, comprehensive answer.

Hi
Thats when the Umpire should step in and tell the player that the terrain isn't
allowed. I don't have a problem with an organiser doing this.

Ahh but if the rules don't say that something cannot be done and you
don't have Jon about (As you can't exactly argue intent with him)
rules lawyers may get around that.
(A simple line of "and contain no holes," or other similar wording
may solve that problem Jon)

I can't visualize this at all

The sad thing is, rules lawyers will get round anything (even a holed donut
shaped hill). That I think is why DBM etc. gets gradually ever more complex as
'loopholes' are 'exploited' then filled. Sadly a victim of its own success (or
just people's desire to win at all costs)?
I am constantly amazed at some of the stunts people pull with single element
moves.

Is that just in gaming terms?

Oh I agree, but rules lawyers can argue till the sun comes up as far
as I am concerned but I think Jons intent is for a fun game, not
overdone gamesmanship so I think an umpire could rule a donut as
being illegal and not have to explain himself. Most reasonable
people would agree with him anyway.
