This isn't addressed in 8.7, but I am curious. If a unit is in a gully, can
a friendly unit at lip of gully fire overhead to an enemy unit on far side?

Thanks,
John Garlic

No. And yes, 8.7 does address it, with the following sentence:

"No other overhead shooting is permitted, even if to or from a greater
height."

If it isn't listed, the 'no other' part of that sentence means it is not
permitted.
