The Delta East Convention Center in Toronto will host PANDAMONIUM, a
regional gaming convention Feb 17-19 2006. Triafata Gaming Club will be
running a 1600 point 25mm tournament (open) called "On Campaign."

One list, 25mm, FHE books only, some special rules. Special rules can
be read in depth on the event website in a few weeks, here they are in
brief. Three rounds of play, plus finals on Sunday.

Army quality (painting, historicity), terrain quality, and sportsmanship
will be 1/5 of your overall score. Please note this doesn't mean that a
guy with 7 color shading will "win." It just means that everyone whose
army and terrain meets certain objective criteria will get points!

Games will involve scenarios. Point scoring will require the defeat of
enemy commands vice just the elimination of units. Some scenarios may
require some troops to begin off table. You could end up playing "Night
Surprise." Weather rules will be in effect.

Some special terrain choices will be in play, including the Major Woods
Feature and its cousins the Major Brush Feature, etc. Also the Parallel
Ridges feature. The rules for these will be available in full on the
website next week, or e-mail me now and I'll send you a copy.

Good prizes, a super hotel venue (the Delta is very posh, and the room
price is very good) and a relaxing schedule, as well as a tournament
designed to be "off-beat" without being alien.

If you plan to attend, please drop me a line at cgc.sjw@... to
that effect. If travelling from the US, please at least guess at your
arrival time so I can schedule your first round to suit.

I'll post again when the website is working.

Thanks, and hope to see you,
Chris Cameron

This sounds delightful. I don't think I'll be able to swing it, alas, but
it's certainly very tempting. I just love scenario tournaments.

Thanks! If you can't make it this year, please try next--we're looking
to grow it gradually. We have a dozen players in province, several
friendly Americans who come regularly to beat us (Jevon, Greg H.) and
we'd like to see more. I'll say again--the venue is really
comfortable. Several of our club members bring wives and kids because
the hotel is posh enough to keepp everyone entertained--although to be
fair, it's north of the 401 and thus you have to drive to anything
outside the convention center.
