p.s any news on the process or development of the Fantasy warrior
supplement?

Brad

Fantasy Warrior exists as a complete playtest game online for free in the
files section of the FantasyWarrior yahoo group.

The playtesters are doing a Fantasy Warrior campaign this fall (in which my
Demons will ultimately triumph...muhuhahaha) and Scott is working on the next
set of Fantasy Warrior lists.

How far are we from formal publication? Some time yet... But you can play
it now and provide us feedback.

Jon

Hello

I played 7th in Indianapolis a couple of times, was getting pretty
regular with it until I joined the Navy. Got out of the Navy and
then played dbm. I am not going to flame on dbm, but its just my
opinion that if I am going to spend all the money and time purchasing
and painting an army, or getting one painted that I want to be
historically accurate and such, that dbm is way to simple for my
tastes thats all. I never could win that often because either I was
a bad player, or It just wasnt that interesting to me, or a combo!

Well anyway a few friends of mine and myself recently got into
reading the warrior rules and playing some fast warrior games. I
really, really enjoy them alot. I really like the broader categories
for troop types, and I also enjoy actually pushing around real
units :)

Well wanting to know if there are any other Indy people on this list
as we are now wanting to run some 1 day fast warrior events locally.
We have run dbm events in the past but since we like tournies and
like the rules I guess its tiime to combine the two!

Thanks

Cya

Jon,

Does this mean you will be fighting on the "Dark-Side". . . ! That would
truly make you the Darklord of the North!

Thanks for the info on the fantasy rules. I am working all day tomorrow, but
Sunday I will try to get some fun time in.

I have another question.

Is there not any formations like wedge and stuff anymore, is that just worked
into the normal basing by allowing the 1.5 ranks of Thracians per say to
fight at contact?

Thanks

I am lost on the dark side thing lol. Though I am an Anakin fan until he
whacked the little kids, that was just wrong. But I mean he must of really been
whipped bad right?

There is no wedge formation in Warrior. But some troops do get a list rule
like the one you mention above to simulate such effects.

I have one other question. I have a lot of Early Byz, Maurikian Byz,
Thematic Byz figures. For DBM I have a lot of my LC based with one lancer fig,
and
one archer fig. Then I also have a lot of my CVS based as 2 Lancer and one
Archer fig. So in the Maurikian list for example in Warrior do I need to re
base
my HC or can I just mark the bases some how to distinquish between the 2
different types?

Thanks
Brad

No need to rebase. Just declare which is which.

I actually like that basing better for those troops...
