If I only _want_ one element of length, can I "discard" the unwanted length?

Funny how this sounds like a question I'd ask.
Certainly would have generated a different response I
think.

Anyway, I'm glad everyone got something out of the
palisade thread. I was going to continue it today by
asking if palisades could be placed on steep/rocky
hills in order to roll boulders from them, and if
close formation foot manning a palisade in difficult
terrain are disordered....but I withdraw my query as
it is not helpful.

As a note to any new players: Elephants cannot form
orb as they are not close formation foot. Elephants
cannot dismount.

Instead I will ask when Holy Warrior will be out, can
I use the 1st crusade list this weekend at a
tournament in Jacksonville, or must I wait?

A palisade may be on the steep slope of a hill.

<< in order to roll boulders from them,>>

There is nothing preventing someone from rolling rocks from an element behind a
palisade.

<< and if close formation foot manning a palisade in difficult
> terrain are disordered....>>

Yes.

Note to new players: the above represents situations that occur in only the very
rarest of cases.
Exception: when playing Boyd....
