Does anybody use them?

I am looking for opinions and suggestions here. If you use them, why? If
you do not, why not?

They seem a bit steep in terms of points for the effect, but I haven't used
them yet - so any guidance would be appreciated.

I just started making a sacred standard for my Nike Byz. "Our Lady of
Blankernae"
I have never used one before , but I want to try it and see if that is why I
never did well with the army. It is always a good idea to have the heavens
on your side.

Actually, all the comments lately about the Nikes have gotten me to look at
it again.I have to rebase my varangians( kelly I think they will do well as
LHI) My son Matt actually, thought about upgrading them to EHI and mounting
them as Mtd Inf then moving them quickly to where youwant them and then
killing whatever is there. Anyway , I am revisiting the army. It was my
original army and still holds a very,VERY, VERY spot in my mind. Actually, I
have acquired so many figures over the years that I can field about any Byz
army with many of thier allies..My motto is " you can never have enough Byz
figures'
My first attempt at the Byz ,27 years ago, was 1000 pts. NO LC. One of my
first opponents was Paul G. He looked at the army across the table and
looked at me and said(I remember it as if it were yesterday) " You can't win
with Byz unless you have LC" He offered to let me use some of his . Like a
idiot I refused( more embarassed). Needless to say, I learned alot that game
about Byz.
Thanks for all your help over the years, Paul.
