I assume 15mm so that 3 total inches is the LI's full move. I will also
assume by 'change facing' you mean a 90 degree turn. The answer is, given you
are in clear terrain, is yes.

Split?? A body can make a maneuver at any point in its move.

A Reg LI body 2 el W by 2 D moves 1.5" changes facing and moves
another 1.5" - is this legal?

One says no, that the LI cannot "split" it's move up this way.

Short of an official ruling by a 4HM representative who might be
online, we will accept the word of an experienced player happening to
be online right now...:-)

If not - we will roll a dice to settle and wait patiently.

Thanks in advance.
