They are restricted to the rule of ranks. The new clarifications, which i am
a couple days out from posting, make this clear.

				| Jon,

We have a question in regard to support shooting and fighting on a
second charge. I have uploaded an MS Office Powerpoint slide
hopefully showing what I mean. Basically, a unit three elements
wide x 2 elelements deep stands to recieve a charge from a unit that
is 2 elements wide x 2 deep. It support shoots the chargers and
 then fights with 2 x 2 elements.

In the next bound, a second unit declares a charge on the defending
unit to hit frontally the unengaged elements.

 Question.
Can the unengaged ELEMENTS support shoot the new chargers or are
they restricted to the rule of RANKS not shooting if they fought
 last bound?

 Cheers

 Steve
