Personally, except that it is a major change, I think Jon should
consider for the new rulebook re-doing rear zones to be measred in
paces from the centerline which would also eliminate the difference
between scales.>>

Funny you should say that. I am currently working on 14.0 and the standard
competition scenario. I would be VERY interested to hear what others thought
about John's suggestion above....

I agree with the suggestion, and would add that you might consider
shortening the forward zone SLIGHTLY (maybe 3 inches) in 15mm and then
using the same number of paces in 25mm to sort of split the difference. My
15mm hoplites are a little weary of coming out of the toolbox every game
with an extra 2 fatigue or else never getting to fight. But I wouldn't go
overboard. I like 15mm pretty much the way it is. I do think that
conceptually redefinition and equalization betwen 15 and 25 by using paces
is a great idea that should diffuse unnecessary rancor between scales.

Moving to set scale and table size by paces, so both 15 and 25 play on the same
proportional table has my vote.
