Jake Kovel's Irregular miniatures are great for tibetans. And guess what?
I have a bunch of the unpainted horse archer and you could buy them at cut rate
if you like.

The most recent issue of WI has an apparent new line of figs called
bear's den miniatures @ bearsdenminiatures.com.
They list a new line of 28mm Koreans and KOR 5 is Heavy armored
Cavalry. The pictures in the magazine look nice but it might be a good
starting point. I have no idea if an ancient Korean model can pass for
an ancient Tibetan or not.

From viewing the photos, these appear to be rougher than even
Irregular. I didn't notice the Koreans though.

If all the opponents in your campaign are historical, there should be no
need to do anything with the list rules. They are balanced correctly in
period.

There is also the idea that someone with low experience in the game might be
underqualified to call something a 'super power', but I digress...lol

We would all be very interested in the results of your campaign, esp. if it
makes use of the Campaign Warrior rules.

I know. I went to the website after I posted and could not find the
new Koreans. Maybe they advertised before they updated the website.
The painted figs in the ad looked good so I passed it on. I have no
experience with them and so they could just as easily be terrible
figs.

Who do you plan to play with your tibetans?

I'm looking over the OW list and most of the chinese armies have list
rule superpowers but the tibetans don't have any.

How will you balance Your tibetan army against them, their historical
enemies?

I'm curious because we want to do a Ming transition to Yuan campaign
and there are some battles that involve tibetans. Ming have some
superpowers and the Mongols have scads of them but I don't have enough
experience with the game to assign a point differential to that - and
I would like to do it that way instead of just losing the super powers
because I do think some of them are realistic.

Any thoughts?

Tibetans - as Mark Stone has noted - actually work better (I think) when
run as part of a Later Tang army. You can get up to 4 units of the cav
with much better support troops than are available in the Tibetan list.
