Boyd and I are 180 degrees from each other on almost every conceivable
subject save one: we both want Warrior to be the best.
On that note - play on!

Boyd ...
I would certainly hope you reconsider your decision to not contribute to this
board in the future. I have and do enjoy your commentary and certainly
understood that your comments were made tongue-in-cheek.
One must remember that this board is run by the vendor, and we are of course the
customers. As long as the board continues to fulfill the customers desires, that
is answering rules questions & sharing ideas, the vendor will continue to
promote the board as the board helps to promote the game.
As such, any comments made by the customers must be understood as not
representing the views of the vendor, and comments by the vendor may be accepted
or ignored, just as you the customer would accept or ignore the views of a car
salesman, store clerk, or any other vendor.
The bottom line is, this board helps promote a wondefully well written game, and
helps us all play it much better. Excluding yourself will only hurt you and
those like myself that enjoy your input.
Take care, and have a wonderful day ... Greg

Greg, most of the people on this list know me well
enough to know I don't go away that easily. I was
making the point that dictitorial attitudes hurt the
list more than myrth.

And I think this is the main problem. This is my
favorite list right now mainly because this is the
rules set I'm currently in favor of. However, Jon has
set himself up to dictate all aspects of the list,
which of course stifles any real interaction. I push
that rule as far as I can, and that is why Jon gets
short with me. To me entertainment is 100% of
wargaming. To be entertained, even by my own humor,
is important.

I'm not going anywhere. I just will no longer assist
the FHE. Both Scott and Jon have acted like total
jerks on this list, which of course translates poorly
for their rules support. If they learned to respond
to posts appropriately, then more discussion of a
freer nature would arise. Instead, they assume the
burdon of policing the Internet as part of assisting
gamers. They have brutalized more than two or three
long standing wargamers, and I'm beginning to get
irratated with it.
The people on this list ARE the FHE assets, and as
such should be shown the courtesy deserved. Every
convention that a Warrior player goes to is an
opportunity for increased marketshare, but only
because that Warrior gamer is willing to *represent*
FHE with words and deed. If that gamer in a
conversation says something like "yeah Warrior's ok,
but the author is an asshole" you can forget making
any sales through that person. The potential for this
list to develop marketers is astounding, as I've
pointed out on a number of occasions; yet no one is
listening, and the consequinces will eventually
terminate the game's potential competitiveness against
DBM and other options.
Humor. Who can argue with it?

My appologies to the list, as this was ment as
personal email not a list post. I firmly believe
every word written, but I am embarassed to have miss
mailed it admittedly non-the-less.
