I wish that before you start concentrating on tournaments, you would
stage "game opportunities" where people would still bring their own
armies but would be matched up with opponents of similar experience &
compatible armies. Have a mentor for every two or three tables who
would help people learn as they have a friendly game.
My regular opponents have no interest in going thru the learning
curve, and I don't relish entering a tournament where I'll get waxed
in half an hour because a grognard wants to spend some time in the
dealer hall.
Or maybe just have a non-competetive track for the possibly few
people who feel as I do. I'd like to learn how to work with the
wheelies in Biblical.
