John--

5x3 in 15mm gives the game a 25mm feel.

I will shortly be packing up the truck for the start of the next
NoVa quarterly tournament today. I am playing two slots in order to
really get practiced with my Moldavians. The first round I have
drawn Patrick Byrnes' Serbians early afternoon today and Don
Carter's Mongols late afternoon today. Then there will be 2 games
per month for May and June which I will not know until then.

For some reason we are using a weird setup this time with 5' x 3'
for 1600 pts in 15mm. We have done a lot of the double rear zones
but this will be a bit more extreme as well as cutting flank room.
Should make the games move very fast though.

I have revised my list from the last tourney to the following for
this one, it is a one-list tourney and I am using the same list in
both slots. If anyone out there is playing the tourney you might
want to skip this part so you do not ruin the suprise.

Moldavian (Holy Warrior list #35) 1476 AD
1,601 total points (111 total scouting points)

1 unit of CinC (Stefan cel Mare) & Boyars
2E Irr A/B HK L,Sh PA-std @ 172

1 unit of Sub-general (Vytis) & Boyars
2E Irr A/B HK L,Sh P-std @ 112

4 units of Boyars
2E Irr A/B HK/HC L,Sh @ 88

4 units of Viteji
6E Irr C LC JLS,B,Sh @ 109
(1.5-rank list rule)

1 unit of Roumanian Foot
4E Irr C LMI JLS,Sh @ 61

3 units of Roumanian Bowmen
6E Irr C LI B,Sh/B @ 55

1 unit of Crimean Tartar Ally-general (Mengli-Girei) & Cavalry
2E Reg B/C HC/MC L,B,Sh/L,B P-std @ 135

4 units of Crimean Tartar Cavalry
2E Reg C LC JLS,B,Sh/B @ 42

I did not change too much - just tried to upgrade the LI to a bit
more elements plus more (tad smaller) units. The points came from
dropping the Boyar back ranks to HC (and also last time I had mis-
calculated the points as was actually at about 1590-ish).

As you all know, I had thought about putting some decent HtH foot in
the army but there was nothing I came up with that I liked so I
dropped the idea and went for (slightly) upping the LI instead. That
was before I found out about the 5'x3' but I actually do not expect
that to be bad for this army too much. And the idea is to gain more
experience with the list and the troop interactions this time.

I will try to put together some concise AAR's and maybe take the
wife's camera to shoot some digi-pix.
