Jon,

I would appreciate some advice/help here.

Please send me directly any thing that may be of use to help me organise a
UK tourney.

We are slow players here in the UK, so i guess 1200 pts is a good idea over
4 hours.

I have certain event organisers to deal with also. It would be helpful if
you could write to me to confirm the status of the proposed event and if you
have the time to explain what it is for the benefit of said persons.

I am not sure what you are asking me here. Are you looking for old tourney
formats?

Wow. 1200 points in four hours isn't slow, man, its glacial...lol But - to
each their own!

By status you want me to write and say that an event you run next summer is the
UK Nationals?

Jon

Yes, i guess so. Anything i guess. Having not run one before. I am willing
to umpire rather than play, but i will do both if we get an odd numbered
turnout.

From the responses on here so far Warrior seems to be small in the UK. I
intend to try to bring on a number of beginners for the tournament so i want to
be fair to them.

Yes. Said status should help get it off the ground. It will encourage
entries and sponsorship.

Jon

Mark

For your tournament format, I would recommend 1200 points, 4'x4' tables, three
terrain fetaures and four hour rounds. use the format in the new Warrior 1214
file in the files section of this egroup.

Please tell me the addresses of who I need to tell we are sanctioning this
event..

Jon

Jon the following person is my first point of contact (with the local
council). This person is new in the post and does as yet know nothing about
Warrior
although i have approached her.
She is awaiting a formal proposal. I am not in a position to make one
without something official from you.

There are a number of other possible avenues as the maritime festival has a
number of different organisations involved, hence my request for some
paperwork direct to me that i can use to Hawk around the tournament. I have
also
spoken to several other organisations about it, they all await a proper
proposal/plan.
