Unfortified Built Over Areas:
1) Are difficult terrain, restricting movement as appropriate for
all troops, and disordering mounted and close order troops
(excepting close order foot who defend the perimeter.)
2) Provides cover versus ALL missiles excepting Bombards and Stone
Throwers, including cover vs. JLS and Dart (unlike woods.)
3) Permits the use of all melee weapons (unlike woods, which
prohibit Lance/Pike/LTS/2HCT.) So yes, you can charge your lancers
for 40p (possibly 120p if you go long) in a town.
4) Restricts visibility much like woods.
5) Does NOT cause march move deviation (unlike woods.)
6) Does NOT restrict rear rank missile fire (unlike woods.)
Woods type terrain features cover a maximum of 212,264 square
millimeters in 25mm. No more than 520mm across.
Towns cover 600mm by 240mm, in 25s, which is a square area of only
144,000 mm....but, as it can be 600mm long, it covers almost one
entire 25mm flank sector.
