Just a reminder that I am on vacation until 14 August and will not be doing
anything serious with the rules until then.
However, I note that we are up to 76 members on the egroup (up 11 from
Historicon). Thanks for getting the word out.

I thought it perhaps a good time to give everybody an update on where we are in
the production of this product.
First, we have signed contracts from Phil B so we're good to go on that front.
Second, we are still wrestling with the seemingly mundane task of cover art for
the rules. Currently we are trying to get rights from an Italian artist for a
piece he did for the model company Italeri. It consists of a bunch of Teutonic
Knights charging hell bent across a snowy field.
Third, the rules themselves are going to the printer next week, assuming we get
our cover art act together in time.
Fourth, Biblical Warrior is at the printer having gone thru it's final proofing
session. As soon as it's published, I'll have something up on my Chief Umpire's
page updating the Historicon Bronze Age theme as it pertains to Warrior (since
these lists will supersede the ones currently listed).
Fifth, Dark Age Warrior is now in it's third draft stage. First draft is what I
send out to the cadre of people who review it for historical accuracy, balance,
point values, etc. The second draft results from those comments and
corrections. The subsequent third draft (because by that time I've made more
changes/corrections) goes to the Legal Ho, Bill Low, who then picks the lists
apart to make sure we're consistent across the board. Bill is extremely
analytical about this and I feel that Biblical Warrior was humongously improved
by his careful reading and work. On Dark Age Warrior, Paul Georgian wrote the
Byzantine lists and Terry Gore reviewed all the "real dark age" stuff so I'm
confident we'll have a solid set of lists. Again, I can't thank Paul and Terry
enough.
Sixth, Holy Warrior is now being written. Okay, I'm on the first list (Bagratid
Aremenian) but work is progressing. Another 36 lists in Holy Warrior (Armies of
the Crusader Era, very broadly defined). Paul G will be doing the 4 Byzantine
lists in this book as well.
Seventh, we will have a dedicated web page for this product. Right now we're
working out what domain name we want to use (of the pawlty few that remain
available). Don't know exactly when it'll be up but you'll be the first to
know.
Eighth, we will run some kind of Dark Age Fast Warrior tourney at Cold Wars to
tie in with the convention theme. No details as yet.
