Thats not legit according to the list which reads (with the posted
revisions on the FHE website):
Voynuks: Irr C HI 2HCT or Jls,Sh @ 24 points if 2HCT armed, @ 20
points if Jls armed
So its one or the other, not both.

Sh types that didn't seem very useful - take more LI.
Unfortunately, the LMI Jls, Sh are a required element on the list, so
you're stuck with them...
Have fun!

I don't think Ewan meant both - and I know he knows that is not an allowed
combo. I think he was saying the 2HCT with JLS second rank mixture.

Hmm? Nope, Cole had it right - and I didn't have errata with me at CW, so
had no way of knowing better. Quite possible I misheard/misunderstood,
but that was what I thought (otherwise, the elephants would not have
avoided them quite so assiduously!)

Gotcha. I just put the FHE site updates to this list in my book
since I am playing it all the time anymore. Those updates explain
(by points cost, the arrangement of the wording is still a bit
murky) the Voynuks are shielded in all ranks but only get one
weapon, either 2HCT or JLS, per element.
So I could see taking them as all- 2HCT,Sh (see below) or else as
front rank 2HCT,Sh and rear rank JLS,Sh.
Now, what exactly _is_ the rule on 2HCT-only CO foot fighting 1.5
ranks? Is this still unique to armies with this list rule or was it
extended to all armies? If so I can not find where - not in the
clarifications or on the Holy Warrior FHE website update. However,
there is a very real possibility I was completely making this up or
confusing it with something else like 1HCW or LTS or who knows.
And yes, that 4E unit of LMI JLS,Sh is kind of like the Aragonese
jinettes - really takes a bit of work to find a use but when you
need just that thing darn there it is.
So, Ewan and Cole, you think just bulk up the LI (luckily I already
have the figures in the army for this - just a matter of what to
give up) and don't worry about fielding a bona-fide HtH foot force,
of either of these types Voynuks or Rustuci?

2HCT is always 1.5 ranks when steady and non-impetuous - no matter who has it.
See the clarifications in the files section.
