Siege of Augusta will most likely have a Warrior and a DBA tournament.

derek
thx for your response. we have a small but avid group of warrior players in
mobile ala. we attend the tournament in new orleans and are looking for others
to attend. how far is your tourney from mobile..if you know, and is that augusta,
ga? not sure where that is..near fla or carolinas? anyway we want to become more
involved in tournaments and hope there are more in the south/southeast. use to
be nash-con and norbert gisclaire..but i guess they are dbm now adays. maybe as
we grow we could restart our tourney in mobile--maybe you remember "blood on the
beach"..here in mobile. we did it for about 3 or 4 years in the 90's.

Ted,

I'm an old Baton Rouge player. I went to a tourney in pensacola you
guys sponsered in 1988 or 1989. Derekcon is a great time (I've
missed the last two though). Its about a 6 hour drive from Mobile.
Siege of Augusta is in Augusta, GA. I've been trying to convince a
local gamestore to sponser a tournement here in Valdosta Ga or in
Tallahassee. How many people are playing Warrior in Mobile? With
enough interest we could put together a tournement in Tallahassee.

Howdy,

I try to collect all ancients events around the country to list on
the NASAMW site, so you can always look there. http://www.nasamw.org/

If you get an event started in your area or hear of one let me know
and I'll be happy to post it.

we have about 4 to 7 that play. but not all play regularly. we do have a few
newbies that we are hoping will want to become regulars. i guess for a
tournament we might have 3 to 5 show up. but that always depends on things not
known now(wifes, work blah blah)maybe a few more if the newbies get hooked. never
been to derekcon..but might try to plan on it for this year if my schedules will
work out. there was a big group in birmingham(misguided souls) that play dbm and
havent moved to warrior yet and use to be groups in
atlanta, pensacola, jackson,ms and of course the baton rouge crowd.

Hey Ted,

Glad to hear you are thinking of doing something. I've often considered it,
but the Rio Grande Valley is a little off the beaten path. Of course my son
has started FW and Harlan Garrett now lives in the area, so who knows. Let me
know if you have something in Mobile. If it is at a time (like summer or
Christmas break) when I might be able to make the long drive, I'd consider
coming
up. IIRC you are about 2 hours or so from Baton Rouge right?
