Here are the lists from the 2005 NICT. No effort was made to uniformly format them. _________________ These Rules Suck, Let's Paint! |

Is there any way we can access these lists from this post? |

Man, I am going to get so hammered, and rightly so...lol I thought I had dodged this bullet..
Can I beg for a '2'? My mistakes in my game with Dave aren't the lead soldiers' fault.
The good news is, it provides no clues to my list for this year....

The check you wrote me to *not* publish the lists bounced.
So I posted em.
Of course the pattern, broadly speaking, is that the Theme drives, in part, what armies also show up in the NICT. Obviously that's not true across the board but one does tend to see more armies that use the same figs in both tourneys. So with that line of thought, that indicates lotsa knight armies this year so bring you're elephants! Heh heh, or not. Half the fun from my standpoint is watching players try to outguess "the trend" in any given year. It brings a small bit of hilarity to my otherwise drab and dull role in the NICT.

Oh come on Scot.
Drab and dull? I would have thought more along the lines of frustrating and exasperating.
Your line at cold wars was precious!
"Any new rules twists this year???"
Don't worry. We will keep them coming.
Unfortunately I don't think I will be making the NICT this year either. I seems that I messed up on my subbmittal for time off. I have Friday and Monday off but no Thursday.
Ahh well. You get to dodge the bullet with the smarmyness this year too.

Ambrose - too bad. We'll miss you on Thurs.
I don't think that there would be any votes against allowing Scott to play in the NICT - or any other tournament, for that matter. IN fact...
...sensitivity alert...
...this is probably the time to note, again, that as much abuse as he gets, Scott's role in organising and umping the Lancaster tournaments is hugely appreciated by the group of irascible and misanthropic hooligans that turn up to play in them. We luv ya, Scott.
["That's nice. But you're still not getting that flank charge in."] |

I'd support Scott playing in the NICT. Great way to help catapult another couple players into the Saturday games and he'd still be free on Saturday to ump undistracted...
I second both Ewan's comments on Scott and his bracketed notation [] of Scott's likely response...

One of the most, no, *the* most unfun things to do is ump *and* play in a tourney at Cold Wars or Hcon. It's a breeze at the regional (and usually smaller) tourneys to be a stand-in but since I also have some things to do at Lancaster regarding room management, once you add everything together, playing in a 1600 point event that you also administer and ump, just blows. Too many things to do, usually all at once. Plus, it's not fair to my opponent.
I think I did all of that when we ran the Mini Theme Campaign Tournament a couple of years back. Even so, I would have prefered to just play.
Which is why this year I have umps lined up for the Theme, just like what Mark Stone did for me last year so I could play in the Theme.
