 |
|
During a game today I had a problem reading correctly the army list for English 100 Year war Fast Warrior List. The unit in question is:
Bowmen 4E Reg C LHI 1/2 2HCW, LB, Sh, 1/2 LB, Sh
(1) I read this to mean that half the unit is armed with LB and the other half with 2HCW.
(2) My opponent read this to mean that the entire unit was LB and only 1/2 armed with 2HCW.
(3) Other interpretation icould be that the back row is 1/2 LB w/ Sh
I tried looking for an example but there was none as complicated as this one explained.
Which, if any, of the above is correct?

Then why mention 1/2 LB at all if all are armed with LB? |

What I am looking for is an explanation so this mis-interpretation does not happen again |

The way to read it is as follows, at least IMO.
There are a total of 4 elements in that unit.
All are Reg C LHI.
1/2 are armed with 2HCW, LB and Sh.
1/2 are armed with LB, Sh.
Looks like it may be a typo error, I usually try and put a semi colon in between those sorts of things.

thanks, that makes more sense if you parse it with the semi-colin. |
