Yeah - kudos for anyone winning anything with nerfed Byzantines
[OK, so half of the reason for that sentence is to imagine Jon starting the slow boil until he gets to 'in my opinion, of course' right around now ]
Tim - can you either post or send me the details of how you guys run this? I think we can probably get support for something similar in CT(ish), if we try, and it would be fun. Thanks.

Not being an historian of the Byz, I have no argument with Byzantine comments. In fact, I think we've discussed sending Paul and Scott back to the classroom over them....
Tim, did Jeff Z get these results? _________________ Roll Up and Win! |

Yes, both Holder and Zorn have been informed separately.

Tim,
Could you explain what this (Reg A Knight rule) is. I'm intriqued. |

Units composed entirely of REG A knights can fight two full ranks in circumstances where a lance is used, and may be impetuous when charging. _________________ Tim |

Tim
I like your solution for Reg A knights. This really seems to help military order knights to live up to their reputation. Did you come up with this idea or did someone else?
Here in KC, we have been working similarly. Reg A's get a +1 in combat. I wanted to do the impetuous charge thing for any A's last time but felt it was a bit too much with all the new players that participated. The regular rules are enough for most people to try to digest without too many experimental rules.

Not my idea, I saw it posted in the previous version of this forum. The author had some other ideas, but this is the only one that stuck to my aging gray matter. _________________ Tim |
