I just noticed that in the original list the Thracians do not get the 2HCW option. I checked the errata and no change. My Thracians REFUSE to give up their weapons. It is like they are glued to their hands( Laughing

). I know that I can use the theme lists, but why not in the original lists.
I hate to send Leonidas to put down the uprising. Laughing

Yes, what list?

We made some modifications to the Theme lists to permit various troops to fight in a manner that justified including their parent lists in the Theme.

under Athenian CNC
Thracians are LMI and get Jls, sh
they can get Lts option, but no 2HCW
However, in the Theme Later Hoplite list
they can get a 2HCW.
Why not in the original list?
I am just wondering. If I want my Thracians
to have 2HCW I will just use the Theme List.
But I do like the Theme list in that they
upped the # of Elments for Thracians to 9 from 8
Sorry for my leaps of imagination.

I should caution everybody about using the "Theme Lists" in any broader context. Once we're done with the Theme, we'll look at possibly integrating changes into the broader Classical Warrior book.

We will migrate some of the changes/updates from Theme work to addenda to Classical Warrior, and not others...typically not the others designed to make troops more 'theme playable'.

Just my 2 cents.
Aside from the 2HCW which I as a biased opinion endorse.
I also felt after the game that the increase from 8El to 9El
was REALLY helpful and one reason why they did so well even
in the hands of an incompetent....... no ..no Embarassed

it to 9El is necessary.

The previous post deals with the Later Hoplite lists CW#17
The original list did not give the Thracians 2HCW while the theme list did.
This is a GOOD thing. I vote YES. VOTE YES ON 2HCW
Also the original list only gave you 8El of Thracians, the theme list gave you
9El. Good move. VOTE YES FOR 9El
