Does anyone know who makes elamite figures in 25/28mm - have not found anything very good so far

Thanks Mark - I found those yesterday evening - looks like $400-600 for the army plus painting time etc. I will see if I can find others or compatible figures ato add to it for $326 you can get 16 chariots - maybe use old glory for the foot- the figures seem fairly generic

Rob, the old glory infantry will be small next the Warlord figs. Warlord figs are 28s on the large side Old glory are 25s. Look at wargames foundry they are small 28s. There are a wide variety of figures available.

I'm kicking myself. Their Sumerian line was just on sale, 6 figs for 4.5 pounds. Now they're back up to 1 pound per fig. Still not bad. While they don't have specific Elamites, a lot of the foot would still work.

My Sumerian Battle Carts are finished!

I really do hate 28mm for mass scale armies. I get the scale for skirmish or RPG but for what we do? There's nothing wrong with these figures but the onagers are the size of Arabian stallions. Jeeeeeesuskeeeeristonabike, they were primitive donkeys.

My geezy Garrison/SKT Sumerians got that much right: their onagers are scrawny things which means when you see this army this year, the light chariots are being pulled by god-like beats while the heavy chariots are being pulled by emaciated things.

I love the Themes, everybody knows that. The one thing it does is force me to develop some of my old armies. Once I'm done with this, I'll slowly work on more of my ancient lead collection (stuff that dates back to the 70s) with Post-Mongol Russians in mind for the next historical theme. It'll probably take me that long to get it ready given I get sidetracked on other painting projects.

I need to post a photo of my lone Garrison/SKT straddle cart. It's different but the rider/driver needs to be a circus acrobat to manage the thing. This one at least looks marginally workable.

Some reenactor needs to build the actual battle cart with the livery from 2200BC (I've seen a book that describes it in detail), then hook for donkeys up to the thing and see how it works.

When I'm retired...
