I am reposting in a new topic under tactics.
I think the shield is worth it on the SHK - you'll be sending them into some serious enemy troops and every bit of armor is worth it.
Just my 2 cents.

| Todd is pretty much correct...the only exception would be a list that does not rely on the SHK to start combats, but on sending them in as mounted or on foot in later bounds. |
