12.323 defines Line Of Effect (LOE) that must be defined for Gully Sides, Hedge, Portable Obstacles and TFs.
So, width is irrelevant and has no on table function, rather, it is the infinitely thin LOE that matters and must be designated (by default with Portable Obstacles it is the element front of the deploying/occupying elements in contact).
This entire section is a clarification...so some folks may not have read it or incorporated it into their rules.
With an admittedly quick reading of the relevant other rules I don't think that a Ditch relying on an LOE as described here fails to function properly. |

Thanks. That squares with my recollection, I just couldn't find the relevant rules section. I have that errata piece stapled into the back of my black book, but neglected to look there. |
